Build to Space

In a post-apocalyptic world, you've been given a mission to travel to space and search the galaxy for a new home for Earth's survivors. Design, build, and fly your very own spacecraft to escape the planet and begin your journey through space! Mine for resources and defend yourself against monsters using your laser weapons.

This was a two-quarter project for UCI's Video Game Development club.

Controls

Spacebar to activate jetpack

'tab' to open the tool wheel (weapons and pickaxe included)

'Enter' or click to advance dialogue and interact with objects or NPCs

'Right Shift' to exit seat, cancel dialogue, or close menus

'M' to open your tech tablet, giving you access to various apps including building

'B' to open building

'N' to open inventory

'Q' to open quest journal

While in building menu:

- To create a ship or structure not locked to the ground, enter the hangar. Remember to save when done. Then paste your creation through the building menu.

- 'R' to rotate object

- Press and hold object to destroy

While near a ship:

-  Arrow keys to activate all rockets in that direction

- Number keys to toggle specific rockets

- 'F' to toggle force fields
